Cora Beth is three months!

Can’t believe our sweet baby Cora Beth is already three months! With baby #2 I am even more aware of how fast it all goes, and am really trying to savor every moment! Though most of the time life feels like such a whirlwind so it can be challenging!
She has her daddy’s beautiful blue eyes, and an infectious smile just like her big sister. She is sleeping great, and finally starting to nurse well (we had some issues at first). She’s still a little tiny peanut though, barely weighing 12 lbs! She loves to be held & sang to, and already loves playing with her big sister. The two of them together melt my heart like no other and I feel so blessed to be their mama!

Sometimes I still can’t believe I’m a mother of two. Whoa. Life is moving at lightning speed and I’m just trying to keep up! Even on the hard, crazy days I am so thankful for this family I have been given. God is good!

Let’s all snuggle our babes a little tighter, and pray they don’t grow up too fast ;)

Eveleigh's First Birthday!

My sweet little Eveleigh is ONE YEARS OLD today! Oh my word! I can’t even believe it. I can’t believe it’s been a year, and yet I also can’t imagine a time without her in our lives. She has brought more joy to us than I ever could’ve dreamed of.
She is my little ray of sunshine. When we were pregnant we prayed over her that she would be a light in this world. And God has answered our prayers because she is so full of light & contagious joy, spreading it to everyone she encounters. When we go out to the park or even just the grocery store, she waves & smiles & giggles at everyone she meets. She is always making new friends, and sometimes forces this introverted mama out of her shell.

She is walking, curious about everything, and babbling all day long. I try not to be offended that her favorite word right now is “Da Da.” She is full of little pony tricks: waving, blowing kisses, clapping, high fiving, signing more, giving hugs & kisses, and even “pound it.” Whenever she does one of these she is so proud of herself that she immediately claps afterwords. It is too cute.

She loves to eat. Especially whatever you’re eating. She will definitely want some. Bananas are her favorite, and if she even spots someone eating one she will surely want one.

Her favorite thing is going on the swings at the park. She laughs and laughs the whole time. Like literally. She loves to be outside, and to be out & about around people. She is truly an extroverted little one!

I am going to miss her in her baby stages, but looking forward to this next year with her as a Toddler and all the fun that lies ahead! I am one truly blessed mama! I thank God for her every single day!

Seven Months

Seven months ago my life changed forever. I became a mama to the sweetest, happiest, most beautiful little baby girl. I learned just how deep and unconditional my love was capable of being and I grew a deeper understanding of the love the Father has for us. And I’m making it my goal, my choice, to love everyone that way.

Life with this sweet girl is so beautiful. There may be challenges and hard days, but it is a gift that I will never take for granted. ♥

6 Month Update

Sorry for the lack of posting lately! Things have been a little hectic, to say the least. We were busy moving & getting settled in to our new place. And our church also recently moved locations so hubs was busy helping with that. Then he and my brothers headed off to camp, and I went out with a friend for a day to visit. We’ve also been busy trying to get my brothers enrolled in school and figuring that all out. AND I’ve been working on getting things together for the launch of our Cahootsie site and working on building my portfolio for a little photography business on the side. WHEW! All while trying to have fun and enjoy what’s left of summer!

Aside from all of that, my sweet little Eveleigh is now 6 months old! I can’t believe it. She has grown and developed so much these last few months. She sits up on her own, she got her first tooth (!), she’s (slowly) learning to eat solids, she’s engaging and playing so much, and has become so curious about everything! She loves the pool & going to the beach. She loves to be around people and interact with them (I think she is going to be a little social butterfly). She is my smiley, happy baby and I sure feel blessed to be her mama.

Evie is Two Months!

My sweet little sugar is two months old and I can hardly believe it! It’s going by so fast, and yet at the same time it is as if she has always been a part of our little family. She is such a happy, smiley, little baby who brings so much love and joy into our lives. We truly feel blessed to be her parents, and love watching her grow and experience things for the first time.

She is a tall, chubby little thing. Those cheeks melt my heart. She sleeps 6-7 hour stretches at night, which I am so thankful for (this mama doesn’t function well without sleep).  She holds her head up like a champ, and loves to look around and observe her surroundings. She is starting to mimic us, our expressions &  sounds. Daddy thinks she may be a singer, like him, because she even matches his pitch. I just pray she gets his pitch & voice, and not mine! Her favorite pastime is laying on the floor with us and playing. When we sing & dance she does this little chuckle/smile thing which makes us think she will be laughing soon (which we can’t wait for). She loves going for walks around the park, and taking naps in her stroller. She loves bath time & snuggling. She’s not such a fan of tummy time yet, but she tries. She wakes up every morning with a big smile on her face, and a big diaper filled with poo (haha). Oh, how we love her. We’re so happy she is ours. ♥
